Welcome to 1st Green Valley Scouts. We are excited to have you and your family join our scouting community. Scouting gives young people the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence, develop leadership, and make lifelong friendships through fun, adventure, and teamwork.
About Our Group
1st Green Valley Scouts was established in September 1961 as a boys-only Scout group. In 1973, girls were welcomed into the Scouting movement and we proudly continue today as an inclusive group for all young people.
Through Scouting, young people develop skills such as:
- Outdoor adventure skills
- Leadership and confidence
- Teamwork and problem-solving
- Communication skills
- Community service and involvement
- Plus many more
